What Are Your Trains Worth?

You need to know the gauge of your trains. The picture below shows the smallest gauge train, "z" gauge up to the large garden railway gauge know as "G" gauge or Standard Gauge.

On page two of this web site I shared a number of ways to sell your trains. In addition to engines and train cars, there are accessories that are of value and add great interest to a train layout. The following picture is an accessory of a burning house with smoke and action by the fire fighters. Accessories include water towers, stations, coal loaders, log loaders, bridges, and even proper size people to bring life to a train board.

The condition of your trains and boxes, if you have the boxes, is an important factor in determing the value of your trains. The following starndards are used to establish the condition of trains and boxes.

GRADING Standards for Toy Train and related accessory items apply to the VISUAL appearance of the item and do NOT consider the functionality of the equipment (see rules page as well) Condition and grading standards are subjective, at best, and are intended as a guide.
